Katie believes in planning for future growth. She is a servant leader who wants each citizen of Jamestown to see an improvement to their quality of life though economic growth, public safety, and infrastructure to support housing, jobs, and retail, restaurant, and recreation options.

Katie feels blessed to have been raised in Jamestown and to raise her two children (Camron, 19, sophomore at NDSU Mechanical Engineering, Keira, 14, 8th Grade) here. Katie wants Jamestown to continue to be the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

Katie serves her community in various ways as Jamestown High School Girls Golf coach, NDHSAA gymnastics official, and Jamestown Country Club BOD and JCC Youth Golf Foundation. Katie also serves her faith community as a parish musician and choir member at the Basilica of St. James.

As Mayor from 2010-2018, Katie welcomed new industry and business to Jamestown. Katie wants Jamestown to welcome growth in residential housing, retail and service, recreation and entertainment, and great paying jobs! She has the experience, connections, and drive to remove the roadblocks on the path to GROWTH!
Airport Director
As Airport Director, Katie has leveraged over $16 million in federal grants for airport infrastructure. She works with local and state officials and US Congressman and Senators to support aviation policy and rural development. She also acts as Airport Security Coordinator, she is responsible for FAA Part 139 safety compliance, and she manages all day-to-day activities and finances.
